vmesnik uporabovnega programa je programska oprema, ki zagotavlja, da so računalniške funkcije na voljo aplikacijskemu programu. Definira funkcije, ki jih aplikacijski program potrebuje za izvajanje nalog in definira kako aplikacijska programska oprema kliče strežbo aplikacijskega sloja. Za različne aplikacije so standardizirani vmesniki API, tako za telefonijo TAPI in TSAPI, za elektronsko sporočanje MAPI, za aplikacije v omrežju ISDN vmesnik CAPI in za telefonske aplikacije v jeziku JAVA JTAPI.

Large shopping centres consume a significant share of electric energy produced within which the biggest part
is consumed by their refrigeration systems. This paper provides analysis of the data captured inside
refrigeration systems of four large shopping centres in Ljubljana. The data consists of influential parameters as
well as of various modes of consumption measurements, which alltogether provides a detailed look into
refrigeration system as a whole and finally, offers great potential in optimization of electric energy consumption
and the associated costs. The paper exposes the parameters that have a major impact on system performance and suggests improvements.

Zasnova opozorilnega sistema na odstopanje storitev GNSS

During the maximum of solar cycle some harmful events can be observed. Their effects might disrupt normal operation of satellite communications by changing the signal propagation path, causing computer errors and destroying vulnerable hardware. The ongoing research project “Determination and evaluation of irregular solar activities’ impact to satellite positioning” (2009-2013, funded by ARRS) has a goal to pin-point those massively used location based services for positioning which might be degraded due to increased solar activities, and, to explain how strong this impact may be. This paper will outline the emerging concept of warning system by introducing its inputs, possible outputs aligned to service classes and the evaluation of threat during the last period since the year 2000.

User behavior analysis based on Identity management systems’ log data

Identity Management Systems (IdM systems) are repositories where users’ security credentials are kept and managed. One of many tasks performed by IdM system is an authentication and authorization of users while they are using applications. In case where IdM systems are organized as central repository, which means that authentications and authorizations for different applications are carried out on one central IdM system. This case is common for enterprises with more than 50 employees where various aspects of users’ behavior can be analyzed. By applying machine learning method SVM (Support Vector Machines) on IdM system log data with application on searching employees that are acting enthusiastically within working day, we showed that analysis of IdM systems log data can be successfully applied for analyzing employees behavior within an enterprise.

A Tool for Development and Evaluation of Accessible Web 2.0 Applications

Many Web applications are not designed in a way which would allow persons with disabilities and older adults to fully benefit from modern Web 2.0 services. Implementation of Web accessibility has traditionally been plagued by inefficient tools and tedious evaluation procedures. The I2Web project is developing software frameworks that will support Web developers better during the implementation phase and is introducing new methods for accessibility validation based on simulation of user preferences and device models.

Intrusion detection and prevention systems are an important part of network security infrastructure. In this article we test two open source implementation of intrusion detection systems.
The introduction gives an overview, technologies and types of IDS systems. We follow up with presentation of two open source IDS implementations – Snort and Suricata. Testing conditions with results are presented at the end.

Nadzor nad razpršenimi viri v Smart Grids z IEC 61850

Efficient and reliable transmission and distribution of electricity is a fundamental requirement for providing societies and economics with essential energy resources. This resulted in a new conception of classical power grids – Smart Grid. The key element in smart grid is increased information sharing. Communication as a whole is the backbone of Smart Grid.

In this article we analyze standard IEC 61850, which defines communication principles and modeling methods of substation equipment and we give example of employment of standard IEC 61850 for monitoring and managing distributed energy resources.

Nastanek in vpliv Sončevih aktivnosti

This paper presents a basic overview of solar activities, their origin, spreading into the interplanetary space and magnetic reconnection to Earth’s primary magnetic field. The Sun’s characteristics are explained as a multilayer structure of gas forming globe with strong dynamic magnetic field. This supports different X-ray emissions and coronal mass ejections that might collide with Earth’s magnetosphere and cause various visual and other detected effects that might influence our environment, communications, technology solutions, electricity distribution and also our health.

Omrežni posrednik in povezovanje v heterogenih omrežjih

S pojavom IMS smo priče združevanju dosedanjih omrežij. Tako klasičnih omrežij SS7, omrežij odprtih vmesnikov, do mobilnih omrežij, ki so že specificirana ali pa še bodo standardizirana v okviru IMS. Ob prehodu iz nekdanjih vertikalnih v bodoča horizontalna omrežja, kjer bodo imela različna omrežja isti storitveni sloj se pojavljajo nekatera vprašanja v zvezi s povezovanjem teh omrežij.
