vmesnik uporabovnega programa je programska oprema, ki zagotavlja, da so računalniške funkcije na voljo aplikacijskemu programu. Definira funkcije, ki jih aplikacijski program potrebuje za izvajanje nalog in definira kako aplikacijska programska oprema kliče strežbo aplikacijskega sloja. Za različne aplikacije so standardizirani vmesniki API, tako za telefonijo TAPI in TSAPI, za elektronsko sporočanje MAPI, za aplikacije v omrežju ISDN vmesnik CAPI in za telefonske aplikacije v jeziku JAVA JTAPI.

Introducing a mobile telephony standard requires the cooperation of many engineers. Once implemented
the networks require many improvements on the longterm scale. Lots of research is performed at the
universities and similar research institutions with limited access to expensive measurement equipment.
Introducing the new generations of mobile devices, e.g. smart phones, enables the development of applications
with functions which can be compared to sophisticated professional measurement systems. This paper shows the possibilities of optimizing the process of measurement by using a widely spread Android devices. By using the open source tools the measurement applications can be offered to a vast community providing huge datasets and lowering the overall measurement costs.

Mobile operators are continuously monitoring, developing and enhancing their networks. The traditional way of assuring coverage, capacity and quality is performing drive tests by using specially adapted equipment in a test car or by hand in selected indoor situations. These approaches consume significant human efforts and high operation costs but still provide only limited coverage and efficiency. This paper outlines the innovative concepts of performing higher quality assurance by automated measurement solutions including involvement of
commercial user equipment through functionalities like MDT (Minimization of Drive Tests) and SON (Self Organizing Networks).

Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) is an emerging technology in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). It has lots of potential since it will be able to prevent accidents and deliver more comfortable
driving experience to all passengers in the vehicle. Vehicles will become nodes in the network and
exchange safety and other types of messages. For this to become a reality there is a need of a set of rules that
creates and maintains a route and forwards messages on this route. Routing is essential in any kind of network
since it enables the propagation of data from one node to another. Protocols in this type of ad hoc network are
divided into five categories: topology, location, cluster, geocast and broadcast based protocols. Each category
has its own unique way of routing messages which differentiates it from others. In this paper a comparison
between all of the five categories is carried out and the most promising protocols are exposed.

A Platform Enabling 2nd Screen Functionality for Mobile Applications

We address the problem of presenting an arbitrary content from the mobile device on additional screen. A television is usually considered as such example but it is also possible to use other devices as an additional or second screen. A working platform that enables 2nd screen functionality is presented and compared to some of the most known related technologies, such as DLNA, AirPlay, Anymote and specific solutions from TV manufacturers.

Vehicles in geographical vicinity share the same road segment and also an invisible complex communication layer known as Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET). Several communication scenarios are introduced inborder to provide seamless service coverage: vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-roadside infrastructure (V2R) and vehicle-to-global infrastructure (V2I). While the latter utilizes public land mobile networks (PLMN), the local connectivity is provided through optimized version of wireless local networks (WLAN) 802.11p as enablers for variety of vehicular services from fields of road safety and efficiency to driving comfort improvement.

The purpose of this study is to show functionality of clinical data retrieval on distance in the field of pulmonology and to set up the fundamentals for operational Tele-pulmonology system within mHeatlh concept with the usage of main medical instrument system in pulmonology, the Spirometer.
The solution presented in this paper upgrades the Spirometer system with mobile data transfer onto the smart phone with the Android OS and send the collected data further to the backend server.
