Hybrid Broadcast Broadband Television is a technology platform that combines television and Internet services. This work proposes an approach to deliver auxiliary web-based content through broadcast applications

Podatke nadzornega sistema, ki spremlja kvaliteto storitev in kvaliteto uporabniške izkušnje, se lahko poveže tudi z drugimi zunanjimi podatki in tako ugotavlja številne korelacije z dogodki, ki niso neposredno povezani z nadzorovanim okoljem.
Tak sistem, ki v realnem času nadzoruje IPTV promet, je bil vzpostavljen v sodelovanju Laboratorija za telekomunikacije in Telekoma Slovenije.

Low Cost Video on Demand Platform Based on Open Source Software

Video on demand servers are complex, expensive and inappropriate to be used in low-budget environments. This work proposes an approach to use an open source web server and an open source content management system as a video on demand platform for public web purposes. Pseudo-streaming over the hyper text transfer protocol is introduced with the supporting web server features. A practical implementation of the solution is provided  with the extensions made to Wordpress content management system.

A Platform Enabling 2nd Screen Functionality for Mobile Applications

We address the problem of presenting an arbitrary content from the mobile device on additional screen. A television is usually considered as such example but it is also possible to use other devices as an additional or second screen. A working platform that enables 2nd screen functionality is presented and compared to some of the most known related technologies, such as DLNA, AirPlay, Anymote and specific solutions from TV manufacturers.

Zagotavljanje osebnih zdravstvenih storitev v sistemih televizije na osnovi internetnega protokola

In this paper, we describe the integration of Internet Protocol Television with information on personal health. We developed a personal health application, called My Health that allows users to see the measurement of blood pressure and body weight on the television screen. The application was implemented as a script based application for XBMC multimedia platform. The paper presents an environment in which the application was integrated followed by the presentation of key problems and solutions in writing software code. Parallel discussion about user point of view on My Health application is carried out. The final chapter discusses future possibilities for application development.

Sistemi P2PTV se z dneva v dan bolj razvijajo, posebej še zaradi simetričnih optičnih omrežij, ki ponujajo enake visoke oddajne in prenosne hitrosti. Raziskave potekajo predvsem v smeri prenosa vsebin visoke ločljivosti in izboljšanja stikov in upravljanja med omrežnimi vrstniki. V prispevku so prikazane nekatere tipične značilnosti prometa sistemov soležne televizije.

Digitalna televizija v multimedijskem podsistemu internetnega protokola

Prispevek obravnava izvedbo integracije digitalne televizije v multimedijski podsistem internetnega protokola IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem). Predstavljene so prednosti integracije in njena arhitektura. Realiziran je bil pilotski sistem za nudenje digitalne televizije v omrežju IMS, ki prikaže nekatere prednosti takšne združitve.
